Tropical Bliss at Thong Takian Resort

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

This beachside restaurant was known for its value for money. Everything was good. Today it is a mediocre and expensive restaurant which is reminiscent of the galore traps of France. Very expensive and cooking not up to par. The crab fried rice turned into a reheated dish and the Larb Kai into an inedible dish because it was too spicy despite our request... We are residents and this restaurant will be wiped off the map.

Left my motorbike gloves bench outside reception and they were stolen.

We organised a pick up at the seatran pier , we advised we were coming from Krabi on the ferry expected to arrive at 3.30pm. The hotel advised us the cost was 700 baht and a driver would be there to meet us with a sign with our name ( 4 of us all same surname ) when we arrived at the pier , there were a number of people holding signs , the four of us walked up and down , split up to walk up and down again and waited until everyone had gone and still no one was there . We videoed this as well and we were the last ones left and then forced to take to last taxi for 1000 baht. When we got to the hotel , the lady told us that the manager forgot to book a driver to pick us up ( again we have this on video ) she offered us free breakfast . The next day when we asked where we go for breakfast they changed their mind and then tried to blame us saying we didn’t show up for the driver at the pier !!! The next day the gardener started yelling at me for getting in the pool in the afternoon saying I wasn’t clean enough !!! Then the same man stood outside our bungalow and stared at my wife while she was sunbathing on our balcony in her bikini , she told him to stop and he started having a go at her in Thai , she started crying and this is also all on video as my son videoed this. This was on my son’s Birthday !! The room was old with leaking aircon inside the room that saturated all our clothes , there were ants in the room , 2 tiny bottles of soap for 2 adults and thread worn towels and hand towels . The pool chlorine was so strong it burnt our eyes and we never went back in. The food in the restaurant was beyond bad , non wonder it has such bad reviews . The pool hit which was outside our room was used as the cleansing and laundry hut for the staff so we constantly had to listen to staff sorted bottled , talking loudly on their phones and amongst each other and staring at us while we were on our balcony . It was very creepy and we did not feel safe
