A peaceful yet not isolated camping experience. There's bathrooms with a toilet and sink but showers would be great. We used baby wipes instead. Toilet paper was stocked until the last few hours of our stay. If you go, pack a couple rolls just in case. There's a mini Mart near the entrance that has ice. Would have loved to be directly on the water , but that's not possible due to the lake receding. It is a 3 minute drive down there. Probably 15 minutes walk. The sites have fire pits so that was nice at night. Best part was the fresh air while we slept, I definitely recommend it.

Lower Echo Bay CG is much tighter than the upper cg and sites are more for the car/van/ truck camping crowd. Only larger trailer sites are out on a sunny point that seems to have a gate to close off in low use season. Cell service is limited compared to the upper cg. Sites are $20/$10 nite and are all reserve or pay online at the site. No FCFS anymore. NO CASH or checks ACCEPTED, online only thru that dumb app.

Basically abandoned camping area. Has toilet rooms with toilet paper and sinks. Beautiful views! Convenience store open during the day.

The only nice thing about this place was the sunset. Camped here for only one day , and will never come back! It's not maintained. No lights in the bathrooms, by night fall there was no toilet paper. The firepit was so full of ash we had to empty it ourselves. There was donkey 💩 EVERYWHERE! We didn't mind not having phone service. Very old and run down, don't waste your time.
