This is a great hike and one of the easiest 4000-footers in New England. It's a great one to start out on if you want to start the 4K-footers. Most of the climb is moderate along the long trail. There’s one section for about 0.3 miles near the summit that requires some scrambling; otherwise, it’s a manageable grade for most hiking experience levels throughout the trail. There are some sections of rock slabs that may be slick in wet conditions. Because this is a long trail, the notorious White blazers for the Appalachian Trail make it easy to follow. When reaching the top, you’re rewarded with 360° views of the Green Mountains. It took me 4hrs and 40mins, my Garmin recorded 5.6 miles. I took my time and enjoyed the beautiful summit for a while! Parking: Large shoulders along Lincoln Gap Road.
