My group of friends and I went to Hailougou at a time when there was a thick fog that limited visibility and made it impossible to see the glacier falling from above. If it rains, the road uphill can be slippery, and the snow has melted. The Hailuogou area is home to many ethnic minorities such as Tibetan and Yi, providing opportunities to learn about unique culture, customs and cuisine. Hailuogou is located in the Daxue Mountains, in Sichuan Province, China, famous for its rich ecosystem. Although the glaciers cannot be seen clearly, there are primary forests with many species of plants from subtropical to temperate. People should be careful with the monkeys here. They specialize in snatching food, so be careful when there are small children.
