We loved Dhiffushi. It was our first time in the Maldives, and we stayed there for a week. The weather was great, considering we were there in August. We only had one rainy day (only two hours at lunch; after 2 pm, the sun came out again, then rain again the same day after 5 pm). The rest of the time was beautiful and sunny. The sea is gorgeous, and so is the beach. Dhiffushi Beach is the most beautiful and well-equipped, but it's not very big, so I don't know what it's like in high season, but in August it was quite empty. For a first experience in the Maldives, I highly recommend it.

We stayed in Dhiffushi for almost 2 weeks and this was out to-go beach. The sand is cristal white and the water is transparent. There is the possibility to rend umbrellas, as well as jet skys, puddles, canoa,... The sea gets deep very close to the shore and it's very easy to see a great variety of fish very close to the shore. The ocean here is calm and less wavy than in other parts of the island because it is surrounded by the reef and the resort island just in front. In the nights it's possible to see stinging rays and little sharks close to the shore since people feed them. It's needed to note that, since the harbor of the island is close, boats pass in front of this beach;however, we didnt see this as a problem since the corridor from where they pass is at a distance where we wouldnt go anyways due to the strong currents.

Baru Beach II, an ongoing ecological disaster. Avoid this area of the Maldives. Filth, jet skis at full speed, construction suffocating the island. Don't even think about coming here to enjoy anything. Plus, it's expensive and doesn't even include a beer.

The beach is nice, there's some depth, but you have to be careful. They drive boats close to the shore. The beach is also very dirty. They feed the stingrays in the evenings. In the morning, there's food and household waste on the beach and in the water. Drone enthusiasts are constantly launching drones from a nearby bar. They buzz, fly, and descend above you, filming. It's annoying.
