Pony Trekking & Biking Adventures at Malealea Lodge

A really stunning hidden gem. Definitely worth the scary drive down the dirt track. The lodge has a huge range of activities to do, a cute and cozy bar, lounge and chill zone for wet days, filled with games to keep you occupied. The daily visits from the local band are great. My only complaint is the limited access to WiFi but given it's remote location I can understand why and it's a lovely place to switch off from the digital world.

There is only one choice for lodging in Malealea. The grounds are very spacious and you can relax. There are several shops lined up outside the premises, so you can buy vegetables there. There was also a kitchen so I was able to cook for myself.

In the heart of the town and the valley. A lot of magic happens here. Social and cooperation projects. It is obviously a Lodge and is perfectly prepared for tourism, with a restaurant, pony tours, local music, cabins and excellent views. It is very quiet and it is worth coming to spend a few days relaxing and getting closer to the local culture. There are also many treks, you can do it on your own since it is an extremely safe area. Great facilities, check Good bar and food offering, check, Nice activities, check... But lets be real any hotel can have the above. What makes truly special this place is the people. The only reason why I came here is because I sent about 15 emails to lodges around the country and Malealea went above and beyond to help me. Shout out to Debbie. Once here I have the excecpional experience of meeting the manager BOB, Incredible hospitality and great profesional. Lastly I want to mention David. He helped me to plan my adventure, sat down with me and gave me unvaluable knowledge and advice. First night I stay in a double bed cabin, second night in one of the adobe huts. Wonderful experience. I am coming back

We were there as part of a tour. The lodge is very lonely. Only on dirt roads. to reach. The cabins are simple but clean. For the population that still lives from agriculture, very committed owner who also presents her social projects. Hiking, village visits possible. The lodge is in impressive surroundings.
