My stay at Wilderness Qorokwe was honestly one of the most unforgettable travel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, every single person on the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The level of hospitality there is something really special- warm, personal, and effortless in a way that made the entire camp feel like home in the middle of the bush… especially with no service anywhere except in my room. The property itself is absolutely stunning. The design blends perfectly into the landscape while still feeling luxurious, peaceful, and intimate. Waking up to wildlife right outside my room and ending evenings around the fire felt surreal. Every detail of the camp was beautiful without ever taking away from the natural surroundings. And the wildlife sightings were beyond anything I could have hoped for. One of the highlights was spending time with an incredible lion pride that had so many cubs. Watching them interact, play, and stay close to the adults was something I could have sat and watched for hours. It felt like every single game drive brought something unforgettable. But what truly made my experience so special was my guide, Cebu. He was phenomenal- incredibly knowledgeable, patient, funny, and completely dedicated to creating the best possible safari experience. You could tell how passionate he is about the bush and the animals, and he somehow made every drive exciting and memorable. The craziest moment of the entire trip happened while I was getting a massage at camp. My masseuse suddenly told me I needed to get up immediately and run outside because wild dogs had appeared right near my room. Apparently they hadn’t been seen around camp in almost a month, so everyone was shocked. Seeing them that close, completely unexpectedly, was one of those once-in-a-lifetime safari moments I’ll never forget. And somehow it got even better. The very next day, Cebu managed to track them again out in the bush, and I was lucky enough to witness them make another kill. Watching the teamwork, speed, and intensity of wild dogs in real life was unbelievable. It felt like one of those rare safari experiences that people dream about for years and never actually get to experience. On top of everything else, the food was outstanding. Every meal felt thoughtful, fresh, and genuinely delicious, and it somehow managed to exceed expectations every single day. Between the beautiful setting and the incredible staff, even meals became part of the overall experience. What makes this stay even more special looking back is that I was originally only supposed to spend one night at Qorokwe and stay my second night at another camp. Plans changed unexpectedly, and I ended up spending both nights here instead… and honestly, I’m so grateful things worked out that way. I truly can’t imagine having missed an extra day at this camp. One of my favorite parts of staying here was having hippos right outside my room almost constantly. Falling asleep hearing them at night and then waking up to see them just steps away made the experience feel so immersive and unlike anywhere else I’ve ever stayed. There was also an incredible mokoro ride through the waterways surrounded by hippos that ended up being one of the most peaceful and memorable experiences of the entire trip. Gliding quietly through the water while being so close to that much wildlife was absolutely surreal. Between the incredible wildlife sightings, the breathtaking property, the amazing food, Cebu’s incredible guiding, and the genuinely wonderful people who work there, Qorokwe exceeded every expectation I had. I left already hoping I’ll be able to come back someday.

Wow what an amazing experience to stay at Qorokwe! This was our first Safari and certainly won’t be our last, but I am not sure anything will quite top our experience at Qorokwe. We were a bit apprehensive before we left the UK due to us going in January, the green season but oh my goodness it was so unbelievably beautiful with so many animals and birds! I would highly recommend considering this time of year we had the best time! Qorokwe camp is truly breathtaking set on the edge of a lake with hippos and other wildlife often in the water or on the banks it’s incredibly stunning. The rooms are just as amazing as the views huge beds and bathrooms beautiful balcony’s just perfect. The bar/dining area is equally amazing in terms of decor and functionality. Although you feel in the middle of nowhere the bar is stocked with everything you could possibly ask for. The food is also incredible! Now on to what makes Qorokwe simply outstanding… The Staff! I cannot say enough positive things about the team of people at Qorokwe, if the animals and scenery impresses you the team at Qorokwe will blow you away! They could not do enough for us always with a smile and so so friendly. We went in low season so there were less people at camp but I am sure the experience would be the same at anytime of year as it’s not only the incredible service but the feeling that every care is taken to make your stay the best ever! The food and drink is incredible as I have said, and at dinner the chef would come and tell us about the food we were eating which felt so luxurious, along with that everything tasted spectacular with portion sizes also being very generous. The waiters were very attentive and always able to assist. They also did a performance for us around the fire one night which was an absolute joy we even ended up dancing with them around the fire! Our safari guide was another person who absolutely made the trip unforgettable he was so knowledgeable and chatty without being overly talkative when we just wanted to enjoy the nature. The perfect balance of everything. He was also incredible at spotting animals as it was green season we did have to work a bit harder to find some animals but that also added a lot to the fun of it, following tracks and birds etc. we also took a power boat out on the river one day which I would highly recommend as the beauty of seeing everything from the water level as well as the boat being a bit more serene than the truck is just amazing. We were also lucky enough to see some elephants crossing the deep river water which is something I will never forget. Basically we had the best holiday/experience ever and would highly highly recommend Qorokwe to everyone! It was truly a pleasure to visit and thank you so much to all of the staff for making it absolutely unforgettable!

Had a wonderful stay here, the staff were very attentive and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Unfortunately the lodge is in need of a revamp and is looking a little bit run down at the moment. Other than this our sightings were very good and we enjoyed our stay.

Exceptional hotel in a fantastic location + Perfect organization of the stay + Excellently trained staff + John is a very experienced and enthusiastic safari guide. We saw a leopard, a cheetah, many lions, many wild dogs hunting and feeding on an impala, as well as many other animals. Excellent wildlife sightings are possible. + An outstanding chef provides the meals; even gluten-free meals were prepared superbly. + Joel is a very good conversationalist and knows a great deal about Botswana and Africa. + The room is a luxurious suite with a balcony, overlooking the lake and offering excellent wildlife viewing in all directions. The glass-enclosed bathroom, shower, and toilet allow for direct wildlife viewing. Absolutely fantastic! + Drinks from the bar and minibar are very good. + Great sustainability concept with bottled water. + Pool, bar, restaurant—everything offers views of the animals at all times. + Superbly maintained grounds + Thank you! 🙏 - In some places, the landscape in the reserve away from the lodge and not within its line of sight appears damaged. According to the rangers, there are too many elephants here, destroying the last remaining old and large trees.
