Wilderness Adventure at King's Pool Camp, Okavango Delta

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Wilderness Kings Pool in the Linyanti is a wonderful camp with a fantastic staff. We were waited on like Royalty and the food can compare with any 4 star restaurant. Our tent was luxurious and looked over the Linyanti River, where we were treated to constant sighting of hippos. We also had a bush buck that liked to hang around outside our tent. Oris, our guide, made sure that we didn’t miss anything. All of our game drives were full of animals. We even got to see a lion chase away a leopard and steal its kill. Kings Pool is a perfect place to spend part of your Safari in Botswana.

This is a very luxurious lodge in the Linyanti concession. The room is very nice, spacious with a fantastic bed. We slept wonderfully. The room also has a nice sitting area with a view of the lake, a very spacious (double) shower and separate toilet. There is an outdoor area with seating and also an outdoor shower. The food was of a very high standard. Each meal had a choice of several (hot) dishes and everything was very tasty. The cook is great and even gave us recipes when we left. The service was usually fine. It was a pity that on the morning of departure the focus was off and the chairs were already on the table (after our departure the lodge was unoccupied for a day). We stayed here for 3 nights and had 1x a very nice lunch in the hide, 1x a dinner by the pool and 1x a sundowner with a full bar with cocktail bath tender in the middle of the bush. Fantastic. The game drives were okay, but we saw much less game than in the Okavango delta, also because of the area with more tall bushes and trees. All in all a great stay, but well priced.

Awe inspiring experience which is a reminder of the beauty and elegance of Botswana. The peace, quiet and tranquillity will loosen any tension and have you unwind to the fullest. The staff are super helpful and super friendly, always at the ready should you need absolutely anything! The game drives are excellent, you leave yearning for nothing…Meals are top notch and the ambiance is amazing. I highly recommend, a must-see experience for all!!
