The access is long (1 hour 40 minutes from the motorway) but possible in a 2WD SUV (in dry weather). However, 4WD is reassuring. The route is now marked; the track that passes by Devil's Nostril (nothing to do with it) is fine (sandy, so 4WD is better) and a bit shorter. Also check the Roadtrippin website. Park near a sort of wooden corral and follow the Alltrails route, at least initially. Then, wander around and explore the rock formations, each more surprising than the last. Be careful of the heat: 40°C in early September, but 24°C at the end of October.
