Lovely hiking spot but the trail is still in rough shape so maybe not for everyone. I found a few places where it took a while to find the real trail as it crosses the stream and the path is eroded. Still beautiful, however! I never made it to the pond - hiked up for 45 minutes and then had to turn around. A very nice break on a drive through VT.

Challenging hike but worth it! The best part is the first half as you are going up along the river with some waterfalls. Beware as the path got destroyed by the major rain in 2023. You will have to cross the river twice!
