We enjoyed hiking this trail on Labor Day and were amazed we only encountered two other hikers. Amazing view from the cliffs and a nice trail along the river with some small ish waterfalls. Water level was low so I barely got my shoes wet crossing the river. A bit of the trail is on the road so expect cars and bikes to pass you, but it's not too long. There's a good bit of gravel road you'll need to drive on to get to the trailhead.

Amazing clifftop spots looking up at Grandfather Mt and the escarpment and across the foothills. Trails in this area are numerous and not always well marked. Plan accordingly.
