Mosquitoes were out but aside from that it's a truly beautiful and well maintained nature preserve. Wonderful flora and fungi. ✨💚

This is a muli-level or point review. First, and the high light, was the duck blind. It was great and gave a view of the pond, which leads now to why i want to give this one star (but bumped it to three stars because it is a nature preserve). I have not been to Stage’s Pond in 25 years, and i took my wife there today hyping the ponds. Was i disappointed. You can only see one pond from the duck blind. The trails go nowhere near the ponds. You used to be able to walk around and actually see stuff. Now it is nothing but invasive species (honeysuckle and poison ivy). Yes, it is a “nature preserve”, which is great, but just letting it go is a bit underwhelming. There was no real educational info about the kettle or glacial lakes. Maybe it is great during duck migration? But otherwise I was very disappointed.

Keep in mind this place does not have bathrooms. If it did would’ve had a higher rating. It is a nice place to walk

Lovely trails. Mostly grassy but they keep the trails mowed. There is a nice trail with a sidewalk and boardwalk, which is nice for wheelchairs, or just days when it's rained recently(the grassy trails get wet in a few spots if it's been rainy). Mosquitos, but that's expected with a pond!
