A fantastic hike if you're looking to experience the quieter side of Zion National Park. The trail follows La Verkin Creek through a beautiful canyon, and we saw only a fraction of the people compared to the main Zion Canyon. Kolob Arch itself is impressive, but don't expect the same close-up experience as many of Utah's famous arches. It's high on the canyon wall, and the viewpoint is relatively far away. For us, the hike was more about the journey than the destination. The peaceful canyon, towering cliffs, and lack of crowds made this one of our favorite hikes in Zion. If you're expecting a quick walk to a giant arch, this probably isn't the hike for you. But if you enjoy long day hikes and want to discover a less-visited corner of the park, it's absolutely worth the effort.
