About This Adventure Destination

Pagee Beach, located along the northern coast of Port Maria in Jamaica, is a striking destination praised for its natural beauty and authentic island vibe. Known for its wide stretch of soft sand and vibrant turquoise waters, this beach stands out as a favorite local spot combining scenic views with cultural richness. Unlike more commercialized beaches, Pagee offers a genuine Jamaican experience where the rhythm of fishing boats and traditional community gatherings blend seamlessly with the peaceful ocean backdrop.

The beach’s unique feature includes strong currents that make it better suited for experienced swimmers and fishing enthusiasts rather than casual swimmers. Visitors often find themselves captivated by the sight of fishermen hauling daily catches, a practice that has linked the community to the sea for generations. Pagee Beach also plays host to lively annual events in August, including regattas and local music gatherings, enhancing its status as a social hub within Port Maria.

Surrounded by gentle hills and lush greenery, the beach creates a natural frame for relaxation and quiet reflection. The waters offer a stunning contrast to the landscape, creating memorable views perfect for soaking in the Jamaican sun. Mostly for a fisherman but you might be able to get somebody who has fresh caught fish and will be willing to cook it up for you. If not, you can buy the fish and take it back to your place to cook it up. It is a nice beach for swimming but very small
