Great volcano to visit, I think it is not that difficult but you might be prepared for long walk and around 500 steps to reach the lagoon. But there are also pickup cars known as "toritos" that will drive you from the volcano base (laguna seca) to the steps to go down. You'll find around the lagoon some Mayan altars that some people still use. Great vibe in the place kind of quite since you can't swim in the lagoon.
