Just one word... Magnificent!!! From the start of the hike to the waterfall, it's incredibly beautiful. The starting point is on private property where you can leave your car in a small parking lot. We were alone, so we didn't pay anything. Then you take the marked "trail" and off you go for 35 minutes with three crossings of the White River. The water is knee-deep, but it can be deeper. The trail is marked with blue and yellow blazes. You arrive at the pool with a view of the waterfall. To reach the very top, allow another 30 minutes and it's more challenging with large boulders to navigate, but it's absolutely worth it to find yourself right beneath this power of nature. In short, a real treat.

If you want to reach the waterfalls, you must come by car from the north (from Emerald Pool). The road from the south is in very poor condition. The walk to the waterfall is enjoyable: you cross the river twice, sometimes on an easy forest path, but you also have to climb over rocks. There are blue/yellow markers up to a few hundred meters from the waterfall. You can see the waterfall very well from there, but if you want to get all the way to the bottom, you have to wade through the river a lot, and you won't make it there without a guide showing you the right path through the rocks. We tried that—we are experienced hikers on difficult mountain trails—but we had to turn back, which we didn't mind. We were at a beautiful spot where we could safely swim in the river and enjoy the view of this mighty waterfall.

It's possible it's very beautiful, however, a small mafia has taken over the entrance fee, demanding 150 EC upfront, which we negotiated down to 80. A guide accompanies us and gives us a spiel about the exorbitant parking fees of 20 USD, which he kindly waived for us, followed by another entrance fee that jumps from 10 EC for 3 people to 10 EC per person. So we turned around and left! There are other waterfalls to visit without being ripped off. Avoid this place.

Beautiful and majestic waterfall 10USD per person to enter, you do not need a guide if you have maps.me or any other app with detailed hike path The final part of the hike is within the river bed, you'll need to do a lot of rock climbing
