A great walk/waterfall. Only saw one other couple whilst hiking it. Guide not required if you’re comfortable crossing rivers by yourself, was never more than waist deep when we did it - just be careful. Route is on all trails.

DELY to avoid!! We came with my girlfriend to do the Cascade. It is said that we must take a guide but with a mapsmi track, we do very well. We unfortunately came across the worst "guide" ever. He was insistent, he still smelled of alcohol, so as not to have a problem, we negotiated the price for 50 EC in total. Never take it!!!! Its name “DELY”. This guy is horrible, he talked nonsense. When we arrived after 30 minutes of walking at his penguin pace, I asked to go closer. He told us it was dangerous blah and started to get angry. Too bad because the journey to get there and the Cascade is worth it. “DELY” from his nickname to avoid!!!!

We hired a tour guide, Chadi, to take us on an all day adventure and this was one of the places we hit. It was absolutely beautiful! & without Chadi’s guidance I’m not sure we would have been able to make it up that easily since your crossing the river the entire time. He was an amazing tour guide and made the trip so much more fun Sharing all the history about the island!

We loved this absolutely beautiful hike. The falls are a site to behold! We hired Chadi Symes (can connect with him on instagram chadi.767treks) to guide us after reading multiple recommendations on different forums. He is a great guide and hikes this and boiling lake trail frequently. The trail is not marked and requires 6 or so river crossings. We discovered on our hike how quickly the river can become dangerous during the rainy season. Chadi was quick to recognize the early signs of flooding and led us quickly and safely out through rising waters. If we had been on our own, we would have been in a really bad situation. Go with a guide who knows the river!
