Catherine's Pass is a beautiful hike, especially when the wildflowers are in full bloom. The trail isn't very long, but every turn seems to open up another view of colorful meadows, rugged mountain peaks, and fresh alpine air. I really enjoyed stopping every few minutes just to take it all in. Between the flowers, the distant ridgelines, and the occasional marmot keeping an eye on hikers, there was always something worth noticing. The only downside is that wildflower season brings a crowd. Expect plenty of company on the trail and parking can be a challenge if you arrive later in the morning. Even with the number of people, the scenery easily makes the hike worthwhile. My advice is to get an early start, slow your pace, and enjoy the little details instead of racing to the top. Besides, the flowers aren't going anywhere... at least not until next week.

Hiking to Catherine's pass in September was awesome. Still a few wildflowers left and got to see a red fox.

Lovely trail but busy on a Saturday. If you want peace and quiet, come on a weekday. The Saturday hiking groups were speaking very loudly.

Beautiful hike, most people stopped at Catherine's lake. Going to the peak or saddle is worth it.
