I love this park, it’s 7 miles and mostly shaded. I went with a large group and felt safe as a result. I’m not sure I would venture alone. There are wild pigs, gators, snakes. Ive seen wild pigs and an otter, no snakes or gators this time. but that’s it because it was so cold. Beautiful birds to see. Path is well maintained but mostly single file with large tree roots along the way . Bring water, Gatorade and snacks especially as the weather gets warmer. There is a port-a-potty at the entrance.

It is soooo beautiful. A little sad that people are starting to write their names on trees. And leave trash. At least those of us who care pick it up. Still a beautiful place
