Cascata del Sasso: Nature's Waterfall Gem in Marche

Great destination! Enjoyed the open trail and peaceful outdoor atmosphere.

Given that this is my first time visiting this waterfall, drawn by the wonderful photos of other users, who were probably very lucky or simply took photos from a few years ago, I was deeply disappointed not so much by the place, but by the disgusting stench of industrial wastewater, probably mixed with feces. It felt like being in a chicken coop that hadn't been cleaned in a long time, an experience that starkly contrasted with the beauty of the landscape. Shame! We had to leave after a two-hour drive because, even if you wanted to ignore the unbreathable and unhealthy air, you couldn't swim. I'm not writing this review to disparage, but in the hope that others won't venture there with their families and end up disappointed. I hope to soon read updated, positive reviews that will allow me to reevaluate this place.

The place is dirty and smelly.

The whole place smelled terrible, and the waterfall was tiny, practically a small stream. In any case, we left as soon as we arrived.

Touted as one of the 10 most beautiful waterfalls in Italy, it's impossible to reach because the trail is far from clean and abandoned. The park, however, has plenty of picnic tables.
