Key Bouldering Areas Near the main water slide area, you’ll find several scattered boulders along Oak Creek. These areas are scenic and challenging, but climbers should expect occasional wet patches from the creek—a rewarding challenge for those who love versatile conditions. 3. The park derives its name from the famous natural water slide, carved out of the red sandstone. Historically, it was part of Frank Pendley’s apple orchard, which is reflected in the still-operational orchard within the park.

Best time to visit: Spring and Fall offer cooler temperatures for climbing.
