It is July 30, 2026 and we were warned that the water quality is not good due to the recent fires. The lady at the entrance also said that "they don't recommend" swimming before we bought the ticket. We spent the 15 bucks anyways to try it out. Who knows what not good water quality means? We regretted it soon, the water is dark grey. I would never even dip my foot in that water. Some people left their children in the water despite warning signs that said something about dead fish in the water, fire retardant and ashes. I recommend to wait for a couple of weeks.

I suggest a quick Google search on best times to get good parking, less foot traffic, and best times of day to beat the heat. Recent does and Monsoon season kept us out of the water, but we can't wait to go back!

Visited through Cresent Moon Ranch and walked up creekside to find this moment paused in time, a pool that the creek flows through which made a perfect day even more special even when gloomy and rainy. My dogs enjoyed every bit of it! I will always hold a special place here as my pups learned how to swim for the first time here 🐾🩷 bring lots of water and snacks. Make sure to haul out what you haul in!
