Ta Prohm was my favorite destination during my trip to Siem Reap. It's not simply a monolithic architectural structure like Angkor Wat or Bayon. Ta Prohm is a temple complex surrounded by nature, giving it a mysterious aura and hidden wonders that attract nature lovers.

Come here and (respectfully) pretend you're in Tomb Raider. The cast and crew of the 2001 movie did, because they filmed the temple exterior shots here. It's wildly stunning. The beauty of the ruined temple with the truly gigantic trees growing through and out of it looks like a fantasy made real.
