If you are not in shape, the start can be a little tough but not impossible at all. The whole trip can be done in 3 hours. So an older person can walk the walk and it is possible as long as you go at your own pace. In the end, it is all worth the effort. Would recommend coming outside the high season as there are a LOT of people.

It's worth it, even though it rained and was cloudy.

Preikestolen offers stunning views; the hike is sometimes strenuous but definitely doable. The only downside is the large number of tourists. You're definitely never alone here, even if some pictures might suggest otherwise. Waiting in line for a photo right at the edge can easily take an hour.
