This is well worth the stop and it doesn't have to be a long stop. We walked along the gorge for a little bit and enjoyed sitting on the benches overlooking it. Walking across the bridge was not allowed as they close access to it September 1st.

It's worth taking a walk along the viewpoints and seeing the scenery; the river through the canyon and the rocky walls of the fault are impressive.
