Camp host was very kind, gave a lot of advise on the area, and helpful when we needed extra firewood for the cold evening. Gorgeous, secluded area, dog friendly area, even height of travel season. We have never had a problem getting a campsite and it is just a hop, skip, and jump away from Telluride without the Hustle, bustle, and cost of town. Views are stunning and trails are plentiful and easy for flat landers such as myself.

Such a beautiful campground! Gorgeous lake surrounded by rocky peaks! Camping in the Aspens!!! Running water and port-a-potties….

Absolutely beautiful location but overpriced for the campground and amenities. Paid $20 to spend one night here and though we got a spot that was perfect for setting up our tent, we discovered the campground’s normal bathrooms were out of order (they had outhouses instead), all the trash cans around the campground were wrapped up and unavailable (they did have a dumpster available near the entrance though), and most notably the water filling stations were all turned off, and we were there at the beginning of August, so definitely not the “winterized” time of year when you’d expect to see these weird changes.

Wonderful campground! Beautiful lake! Clean porta potties. Very nice camp host. Campsites are very spaced out. Lovely views. Just have to take a bumpy dirt road for about 30min to get to it. Well worth it!
