Discover the Scenic Hakkōda Mountains

Along with Mt. Iwaki, it is one of Japan's 100 famous mountains, and is a collective term for a series of many peaks♪🏔️🥹 The day before, I warmed up at Sukayu Onsen, and left before dawn to see the sunrise in the forest.When I arrived at the mountaintop, the wind was so strong that my hat was blown away🌀It hadn't snowed yet, but there were no mountains around me to block me out, so it felt minuscule and extremely cold🥶😱😵‍💫 Kenashidai, a famous place, had an overwhelmingly beautiful contrast of many ponds and autumn leaves on the grass, which had an impact🤗 I think the best time is around mid-October when the colors of brocade and autumn leaves are in full bloom. You can easily climb the ropeway 🚡, and it might be good to ski in spring and winter⛷️

It’s a very beautiful place. If you have the opportunity, you can stay a little longer and enjoy the surrounding scenery. You can’t see the cherry blossoms but you can see the snow-white scenery.

When I hear Mt. Hakkoda, I think of the movie "Mt. Hakkoda." I was feeling scared even before climbing the mountain because I was imagining a hellish snow march exercise. Unfortunately the weather was cloudy. When I climbed up from Sukayu, there was no wind at the base, but when I talked to the climbers I passed on the way down, they told me, ``You have to crawl to the top,'' and ``I turned back halfway,'' so I climbed the mountain, prepared to retreat in case of a strong wind. The wind was a concern, but I could barely climb up to the top, but the wind level increased from the last 100 meters onwards. I crawled along step by step, and as soon as I reached the top, I climbed down. As expected of Hakkoda. My backpack cover was blown off. I want to come again when the weather is nice.
