Mt Batur is cool. The track is suitable for beginners. I took my 10 year old child. Even though it was hard, he reached the top. The view is cool. I climbed with your Bali trekking tour. Book via OTA at pocket-friendly prices. The service is champion. The guide was very patient with us who were super slow climbing. You can also get a delicious breakfast right at the peak. There is a hotel pick-up and drop-off facility, my advice is that if you don't bring your own vehicle to Kintamani, it's better to just use the pick-up and drop-off facility, of course at an additional cost, because it turns out the meeting point is quite far into remote areas. Start climbing at 4 am, at 6 am I reach the top. Those who don't have the strength to climb uphill can rent a trail motorbike taxi at a price of 350 thousand/trip/person. However, we still have to walk for about 10 minutes. because the motorbike taxi couldn't reach the top. At 7 o'clock it's down again, and if you don't want to get tired from going down, you can rent another motorbike taxi, take you to the car park at the meeting point. Those who want to try anti-mainstream tourism in Bali, especially in Kintamani, can try this one. Main recommendation.

Unfortunately, the trekking was a bit disappointing. When climbing, it's crowded like a market, but fortunately there's plenty of room at the top. Beware of monkeys - they rush to eat and drink. The view did not impress me as much as it is advertised.

The ascent took about 2 hours, partly demanding because of the steps, humidity and temperature of 20°C ... you need quality shoes, 1 liter of water per person and a spare t-shirt/jacket. Upstairs you can buy everything, they are annoying, they offer 5 times the same thing... and tea costs 40K rupees... The view is beautiful, except for the fog that prevented the sunrise 90% of the time... It's definitely a must-see, you don't need a guide if you want to risk getting lost, but the Jeep and the lights of motorbikes/cars will show you the way... and basically it's just about persistence :) 50 minutes down the hill there is a booth where they ask for 300,000 rupees for the Government for two people without a guide ;) Definitely a lot of water, a lamp and good lungs ;) 16.12. 2024
