Durdle Door is a natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast near Lulworth in Dorset, England. It is privately owned by the Weld family, who own the Lulworth Estate, but it is also open to the public -- Wikipedia says. Indeed, it is probably the most famous and iconic stone arch anywhere in the world. The scenic beauty of this place is so amazing that anyone can spend the entire day by just seeing -- if it's a sunny day, then it doesn't matter how long you are seeing. You will forget to capture a moment in your camera, rather you would like to enjoy it. If you live or stay in the UK, you should be here at least for once in your lifetime for a day. The beauties are just inexpressible. Please don't forget to bring home made ready to eat foods, snacks, soft drinks, mattress/bed sheet for a day outing.

I visited Durdle Door in September 2024, and it was absolutely breathtaking! The iconic limestone arch is even more impressive in person – the sheer size and beauty of it are unreal. The views from the top of the cliffs looking out over the sea are stunning, especially on a clear day. The weather was perfect, and the coastal air made it a really refreshing experience. The walk down to the beach is a bit of a workout – lots of steep steps – but totally worth it once you reach the bottom. The beach itself is pebbly, but the water is crystal clear, making it great for a swim or just relaxing by the shore. I spent some time just taking in the view and snapping a few photos – it’s definitely one of those places that’s picture-perfect from every angle. One thing to keep in mind: it can get pretty busy, especially during peak times, so if you want to avoid the crowds, I’d recommend going early in the morning or later in the afternoon. The whole area is part of a national park, so it’s well-maintained and there are signs to help guide you around. If you’re into hiking or just love stunning natural landscapes, Durdle Door is a must-see. It’s one of those places that makes you appreciate the beauty of the coast and nature in general. Highly recommend adding it to your bucket list!
