So fun, I do recommend a harness to be able to go around people on the outside of the cables, but a harness is definitely not needed

For me, this is the most fun part of the hike to half dome. Is recommended to carry some gloves and have good shoes for this part of the hike. Also, if you think it’s rainy or wet, you shouldn’t do this part cause the rock can be pretty slippery but on a good sunny day, I would highly recommend doing this.
