Nature's Retreat at Yosemite Valley Lodge

Good casual place to stay. Next to Yosemite falls. Bus and tram load here. No need to drive. Pool,bike rental, cafeteria style eats. Rooms cozy with private patio or balcony. Phil at front desk is the best.

The Yosemite Valley Lodge has that classic eighth-grade camp vibe — think 1980s summer camp, wood paneling and all — but honestly, it works. The place is older, and it wears that age with a kind of honest charm rather than trying to be something it's not. The gift shop is a standout: well-stocked, genuinely nice, the kind of place you actually want to browse instead of just grabbing a postcard. And the drive in? Incredible — the kind of scenery that makes you forget you're driving at all. Bottom line: if you're camping nearby or just need a base for the valley, it's got pretty much everything you need. No frills, no pretension — just a solid, functional stop in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Lots of options for food you can find here, for vegiterian also you will find some options like piza, pasta and veg burger etc...food was good, however it is little pricy but it was expected considering the limited options.

It's a basic cabin-in-the-woods feeling hotel. I mean, the best location in the world, to just wake up and be in the Valley though. Quite a blessing! The rooms could use updating, but honestly the location is what youre here for. Saving the time of driving INTO the valley and you can just start your day here is pretty fantastic.
