A Snow Landing, a Hummer Limo and Dinner at Blue Ice — Franz Josef’s Evening Fly & Dine.
On the West Coast, Franz Josef’s glacier carves the valley and delivers a stark contrast of ice, rainforest and coastal light. This package pairs a short but dramatic helicopter journey — including a ten-minute snow landing on the glacier — with a chauffeured Hummer transfer and a two-course dinner at the village’s Blue Ice Restaurant, folding a peak alpine moment into a civilised evening out.

Outing Highlights
25-minute scenic flight with a glacier snow landing
A condensed, high-impact aerial window onto Franz Josef Glacier: a 25-minute scenic helicopter flight that includes a 10-minute snow landing, designed to put you on the ice for a brief, unforgettable experience.
Return Hummer limousine ride from your accommodation
After the flight you are returned to Franz Josef by a prebooked Hummer limousine, linking the aerial experience to an evening out without the need to organise your own transport.
Two-course a la carte dinner at Blue Ice Restaurant & Bar
The package concludes with a two-course dinner at the Blue Ice Restaurant; drinks and extras beyond the two-course menu are billed separately at the end of the meal.
What the day feels like
What the evening feels like
The sequence is compact and deliberately staged: a short scenic flight that delivers dramatic glacier panoramas and a controlled, 10‑minute snow landing; a smooth, private Hummer transfer from your accommodation to the village restaurant; then a relaxed two-course dinner. The result is a high-altitude highlight folded into an easy, chauffeured evening.

Details to review before reserving
Bring a light jacket, sunglasses and a camera; wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet in the snow.
Include a light jacket for alpine conditions and footwear suitable for a short snow landing; you may get wet on the glacier so avoid shoes you need to keep dry.
A camera and sunglasses are recommended to capture the glacier views and to manage glare on ice and snow.
Review cancellation policies before reserving.
Frequently asked questions
Planning Your Outing
What happens if weather prevents the flight?
Flights are weather dependent; the operator will reschedule your flight to the following morning if the afternoon cannot fly. You can also request an earlier flight on the day of your dinner after booking.
If the flight is cancelled twice, am I refunded?
If flights are cancelled at both departure times, you will only be charged for the dinner portion of the package.
Can I cancel after booking?
Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance; after that period the package is non-refundable and the dinner portion cannot be cancelled inside the 48-hour window because the driver is prebooked.
Are drinks included with the two-course dinner?
No — drinks are not included in the package price; pay for drinks and any extras at the end of your meal.
Is there a minimum group size?
Yes — the package requires a minimum of four people.
Does the package run during peak season?
This package does not operate during the operator’s peak season (16 December to 31 March).
