PAROS AIR ACTIVITIES FIELD GUIDE
Paros IKO Level 2: From Ground Control to Water-Start
A focused, 3-hour IKO-based group lesson on Paros that moves beginners and progressing riders into on-water skills and certification (ages 8+).
Paros IKO Level 2: From Ground Control to Water-Start.
On Paros, IKO level 2 condenses the fundamentals of kiteboarding into a three-hour group lesson led by a certified IKO instructor. In a small pairing of two students per kite you work through theory and practical drills—kite control, water entry and relaunch, body-drags and self-rescue—so you can advance toward independent riding and IKO certification.

A stepwise IKO curriculum
The course follows the IKO lesson plan and focuses on the Level 2 progression—skills such as water relaunch, side and powered body-drags, body-drags with the board, steady‑pull and water-starts—designed to move students from land drills into controlled water practice.
Small groups, focused coaching
Group lessons are intentionally small: one IKO instructor works with two students on a single kite, providing hands‑on guidance through equipment handling, setup, safe flying and water entries.
Practical on-water skills and IKO certification
By the end of the lesson students practice water-starts, self-rescue and boarded body-drags; all participants receive IKO certification matched to the level they reach during the course.
What the day feels like
What the 3-hour lesson feels like
The session moves deliberately from classroom and on‑land drills to supervised water work: setup and kite handling, controlled launches and relaunches, then progressive body-drags and the first attempts at water-start. Instruction is hands-on and paced for two students per instructor so you rapidly translate theory into controlled on‑water practice.
