THE FREEDOM

Self‑directed, tow‑and‑ride format

Bookings cover a full three‑day period beginning at pickup; you may take the rental to any legal riding area of your choosing, giving you flexibility to structure days of exploration and transit as you prefer.

THE OPTIONS

Multiple nearby ORV parks

There are several nearby off‑road areas recommended for rentals, including Walker Valley and Reiter Foothills, allowing you to vary terrain and routes across a three‑day rental window.

What the day feels like

How the three days unfold

You pick up your trailer‑ready ATV or UTV in Snohomish and tow it to a legal riding area for up to three days. The package is explicitly designed as a tow‑and‑ride rental: bookings begin at pickup, and riders may choose their destination — with Walker Valley ORV Park often recommended for its 3,600 acres and roughly 36 miles of trails.

Suitability

Who it's for

Who this rental suits — and who it excludes.

1
Experienced tow driversIdeal for drivers who can tow trailers safely: ATVs require a vehicle capable of towing at least 2,000 lbs and UTVs require at least 3,500 lbs with a 2" ball or an operator‑provided ball mount.
2
Self‑directed ridersBest for riders who want flexibility to choose their riding area across a three‑day window and who can navigate ORV maps and local rules independently.
3
Families with older childrenFamilies can participate when child‑safety restraints are appropriate: children under 2 are not permitted; ages 2–4 require an approved five‑point car seat; ages 4 and up under 4'9" require an approved booster compatible with inertia‑locking seatbelts.
4
Not suitable: pregnant women or those unable to maintain stable seatingPregnant women are not permitted to ride as drivers or passengers; individuals who cannot safely enter, exit, or remain securely restrained should not operate a UTV and may only ride as passengers if they meet all restraint and seating requirements.

What to Bring

Plan clothing for variable conditions and wind chill in open vehicles; bring sun protection, a light coat, closed‑toe shoes, water and snacks, wipes/towels, tie‑downs for gear, maps or the Avenza Maps app, and electronics for navigation and photos. DOT‑ or SNELL‑approved helmets are required; the operator can provide DOT helmets for a fee.

Passes & Permits

Carry applicable passes for the areas you visit: a Discover Pass is needed for state parks and a Northwest Forest Pass for national forests when applicable.

Frequently asked questions

Planning Your Outing

What towing capacity does my vehicle need?

You need a vehicle capable of towing at least 2,000 lbs for ATV rentals and 3,500 lbs for UTV rentals. All trailers require a 2" ball; if you lack a ball mount, one can be provided at checkout for an additional charge. Verify your vehicle’s capabilities before arrival.

How big and heavy is the ATV for loading?

The rental ATV weighs about 400 lbs fully fueled, is 72" long, 43" wide (tire to tire), with 28" between front and rear tires; height to the foot guard is 12". The ATV will fit in a 5.5 ft truck bed with the tailgate closed only if tires are mostly deflated.

Are there age or license requirements?

Renters and drivers must be 18 or older and possess a valid driver’s license. Passengers must be at least 2 years old; specific child‑seat and booster requirements apply depending on age and height.

Do I need a helmet and seat belt?

Yes. Helmets are required for all machines; the operator provides DOT‑approved helmets for a fee or you may bring your own DOT or SNELL‑approved helmet. UTV seat belts are required and the vehicle will limit power until the seat belt is fastened.

What insurance or damage deposit is required?

All rentals include a premium liability insurance policy at no extra charge; medical insurance is available for an additional fee. There is no damage deposit; insurance covers the first $5,000 in damage and renters are responsible for damage or loss beyond that amount.

Where can I legally take the rental?

Riders may take rentals to any legal ORV area; the operator recommends Walker Valley ORV Park and Reiter Foothills. It is the renter’s responsibility to check local and state laws — UTVs are considered Off‑Highway Vehicles and may be restricted on certain Forest Service roads.
