THE FLEET

A bike for every role — child, commuter, cargo and electric assist

Tropical Bikes offers a range of everyday Copenhagen bikes: 7‑speed adult frames, 3‑speed child models, cargo and e‑cargo options and a tandem. That variety lets you match fit and function to the way you want to move through the city.

THE CITY

Flat, forgiving streets that encourage exploration

Copenhagen’s largely level terrain makes the city ideal for relaxed, multiday riding — you can cover neighborhoods and waterfronts without technical strain and rediscover the city at your own tempo.

THE PRACTICALS

Simple mechanics, secure locks, and electric assistance when you want it

Bikes come with straightforward gearing and braking setups and include locks. For heavier loads or longer stretches, an e‑cargo model adds motor assist while retaining the familiar cargo‑bike form.

What the day feels like

What five days on two wheels feels like

Over five days you’ll move at human scale: start each morning from the rental point, stitch together markets, canals and neighborhoods, and return the bikes at day’s end. The multiday structure encourages slow discovery — swap bikes for different tasks, bring children or cargo, and use an e‑cargo when you need a little help.

Suitability

Who it's for

Who this rental suits — and who should double‑check.

1
Families with childrenChild bikes (20'' and 24'') are available with recommended height guidelines; larger children (above about 150–160 cm) should use an adult bike instead.
2
Couples or pairsTandems are offered and are described as easy and fun to ride, allowing one rider to retain control while the other enjoys the experience.
3
Short ridersIf an adult rider is shorter than 150 cm you should book a child 24'' bike; a limited number of 26'' bikes are available — contact the operator to arrange one.
4
Cargo users and shoppersCargo and e‑cargo bikes (with motor assist on the e‑cargo) are available and come equipped with locks, making them a practical choice for transporting goods or family gear.
