Frequently asked questions

Planning Your Outing

What is included with the rental?

Rentals include a helmet for the rider; select models include a windshield and saddlebags and a passenger backrest. Additional items such as a jacket and gloves are available at no charge upon request and subject to availability.

What is the minimum age to rent?

The renter minimum age is 25.

What license and skills are required?

Renters must hold a valid driver’s license with the motorcycle endorsement required by California law and must demonstrate the ability to operate a motorcycle.

What is the fuel policy?

Fuel costs are the renter’s responsibility. All bikes must be returned with a full tank; if a motorcycle needs refueling the shop will add a $45 charge per motorcycle.

What are the Damage Waiver and towing options?

Every rental includes a base Damage Waiver with an out‑of‑pocket maximum of $1,500. For $15 per day you can lower that maximum to $750. Towing protection is available for $10 per day and covers towing within a 300‑mile radius; beyond that the rider pays the difference.

What are the late return penalties?

All rentals must be returned by close of business to avoid an automatic $100 late fee. If a vehicle is returned more than two hours late the renter may be charged an additional day's rent; if the vehicle is more than 24 hours late the operator may take legal action.

Can I take the rental motorcycle into Mexico or put it on a trailer?

No. Rental motorcycles may not be taken into Mexico. IMOC rental motorcycles may not be placed on any type of trailer for transport; if towing is required it must be handled by the authorized company assigned by IMOC.
