Trail descent meets Appalachian forest in Huntington: riders choose lines down a network of named trails and can reach the hilltop either by pedaling the winding Grindstone uphill or by riding a Holler Hauler UTV from the Adventure Station, then point their bikes downhill through turns, bumps and jumps for repeated runs.

Outing Highlights

THE ROUTE

Grindstone or Holler Hauler — two ways to the top

Climb the 1.1-mile Grindstone trail for a winding pedal to the trail hub, or opt for a Holler Hauler UTV pick-up from the Adventure Station that ferries riders and bikes to the top for repeated downhill laps.

THE TRAILS

Named lines with character

Trails honor Appalachian agricultural heritage — hit runs with names like the Hay Baler, the Humdinger and the Stump Grinder as you descend through varied turns and jumps.

THE PACE

A rhythm of climbs and gravity-fed descents

The format is built for repeated downhill runs: reach the top, choose a line and return to the Adventure Station to head up again when ready.

What the day feels like

What the day feels like

MRBP: Bring Your Own Bike delivers a concentrated downhill session — riders spend the day (10:00–15:00 on Saturdays) moving between a short uphill transfer and fast, technical descents. Between 12:30 and 13:00 the trails close for a mid-day break; otherwise the flow is simple: get to the top, choose a trail, blast down, and repeat.
