On the wide, wind‑polished water of the Bodensee, La Canoa’s team canoes put seven to a dozen people in the same hull and demand a single, coordinated effort to move. The Schulklassen‑Teamkanu‑Miete is an ungeführt (unguided) three‑hour rental that swaps lecture‑room theory for on‑water practice: fresh air, exercise and deliberate teamwork as the group steers, powers and balances the boat together.

THE TEAM

Built for group dynamics

Team canoes are designed for cooperative paddling: groups of 7–12 must work in unison to make progress, which creates immediate opportunities to practice communication, leadership and shared problem solving on the water.

THE BOAT

Stability and capacity

With a beam of 1.35 m and a carrying capacity of over a tonne, the team canoes are among the most stable and load‑tolerant available—important when you’re moving a classroom’s worth of people and gear across the lake.

THE SETTING

Three hours on the Bodensee

The format compresses a meaningful team exercise into a single 3‑hour block, pairing physical exertion and fresh air with the uncomplicated logistics of a rental from Wallhausen.

What the day feels like

What the three hours feel like

The outing begins at the kanustation and quickly moves into a rhythm: load the canoe, distribute paddles and life jackets, and assign roles. Once on the water, progress is less about individual power and more about timing—synchronised strokes, clear commands and regular adjustments keep the wide hull tracking. Breaks for observation and regrouping let the group take in the lakeshore landscape while reinforcing communication habits that carry back to land.

Suitability

Who it's for

Who this format suits — and who should reconsider.

1
School classes & student groupsIdeal for class‑sized groups that want a compact, supervised team exercise and experiential learning away from campus; pricing and terms are structured for group rentals.
2
Teams practicing leadershipBest when the group designates a paddling‑ and watersport‑experienced leader to coordinate the crew, because the rental is ungeführt and requires on‑water leadership from within the group.
3
Large small‑boat crewsAppropriate for groups that can assemble at least seven people—team canoes must always be occupied by a minimum of seven and can hold up to 12.
4
Mixed‑age groupsOpen to all ages (jedes Alter), but suitability depends on the physical ability of participants and the presence of an experienced leader to manage safety on the water.
