Do I need a boating licence to operate this boat in Florida?
Customers born on or after January 1, 1988 must complete a Boater Safety Course and possess a Boating Safety Education Identification Card to operate a motor boat with 10+ HP; the operator advises all customers to complete a boating safety course.
Do the boats come with insurance?
Yes. All boats are covered by comprehensive insurance with a deductible of $1,400; SeaTow towing insurance is also included.
How much is the security deposit?
A security deposit of $1,400 is required when you pick up the boat; it can be paid in cash or held on a credit card for the rental period.
What is included in the price?
Prices include instruction, cleaning, comprehensive insurance and SeaTow membership; gasoline is not included and sales tax applies.
Do I have to return the boat with a full tank of fuel?
Yes. It is mandatory to fully refuel the boat before returning it; otherwise the operator charges $7 per gallon plus a $75 service fee.
What happens if the boat has a mechanical problem?
The operator will try to provide another boat quickly; if none is available you will receive a partial refund. All boats are covered by SeaTow for towing at no extra cost.
Can you deliver the boat to my vacation home?
Yes. Delivery to your vacation home is available for an additional service charge and is offered only in the Cape Coral area.
Do the boats come with a navigation system?
Yes. Boats are equipped with onboard navigation systems or iPad navigation; the operator recommends iBoatmap for locating worthwhile spots.
