Bring warm base and mid layers, wool socks, winter hat and gloves, neck gaiter or scarf, sunglasses, a small camera, snacks and a water bottle; drivers must present a valid driver’s license at check‑in.
The operator supplies guides, well‑maintained late‑model snowmobiles, sanitized snowmobile helmets, winter snowmobile outerwear (insulated jacket, snow bibs, gloves and winter boots), ice‑climbing gear (boots, ice tools, crampons, harness, helmet, small backpack), snowshoes and trekking poles if needed, plus a hot lunch and hot drinks.
Gratuities for guides are not included; bring cash or Venmo for tips if you plan to tip your guide.

Participants must be at least 16 years old and drivers must present a valid driver’s license; guests must have a good level of fitness and be able to walk on uneven terrain.
What is the maximum group size?
Tours are limited to a maximum of seven guests per tour.
Are there bathroom facilities on the route?
There are no bathrooms in the backcountry; facilities are available before and after the tour at the meeting location.
Is there a weight limit for snowmobiles?
Yes—the snowmobiles have a total weight limit of 350 pounds (158 kilograms) for single or double riders.
