What to Expect

Course sessions run across a single weekend (Friday evening, full days Saturday and Sunday). Prepare for full-day instruction on Saturday and Sunday and an evening session on Friday. Follow any additional pre-course guidance from the operator.

What does the RPAL+PAL Course cover?

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course provides beginner-level instruction on responsibilities of possessing and using restricted and non-restricted firearms, safe handling, storage, transport, ammunition types, and operating actions.

When are course sessions scheduled?

All courses run Friday–Sunday beginning on your selected date: Friday 6:00 pm–10:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, and Sunday 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Who is eligible to attend?

Participants must be at least 18 years old to attend the course.

What happens after I complete the course?

Upon successful completion you will be eligible to apply for your RPAL and PAL.

Is there a substance policy for attendees?
