Experience the journey of sugar cane from field to mill at the Sarina Sugar Shed: a compact, interactive tour where children hunt for critters in the cane patch, enter a working miniature mill to see cane crushed, sample fresh sugar cane juice from 'Bill the Mill Junior', handle the stages from bagasse to sugar, taste molasses, complete a quick quiz and leave with a free info sheet and stickers—plus onsite non-alcoholic ginger beer and freshly spun fairy floss.

Miniature Mill & 'Bill the Mill Junior'
Step into the Sarina Sugar Shed’s working miniature mill to watch how cane is crushed and to sample sugar cane juice straight from the replica press known as 'Bill the Mill Junior'.
Critter Hunt and Hands-on Stations
Kids complete a hunt for the critters that live in the sugar cane patch, use stickers to learn machine functions and touch the different production stages to connect growing and harvesting with processing.
Sweet finishes: ginger beer, fairy floss and molasses
Every tour includes tasting experiences: non-alcoholic ginger beer brewed onsite, freshly spun fairy floss, and opportunities to taste molasses and sample cane juice.

All children must be accompanied by an adult; to add a child to an existing booking call 07 4943 2801 between 9am and 4pm.
Tours are conducted inside a working miniature mill with machinery that replicates full-scale processes—follow operator directions and note that tours do not include the adjacent full-scale Plane Creek Mill.
