What’s Inside the Package
Each 2026 BeeWeaver Package is a wooden box with metal screen sides containing a minimum of 3 lbs of loose worker bees, an isolated bred BeeWeaver queen in a separate wooden queen cage with sugar candy, and a can of sugar syrup sealed on top to sustain the colony in transit. Packages do not include frames, brood, or an in-frame feeder.
Bred for Natural Resistance
BeeWeaver queens are selected for generational Varroa Sensitive Hygiene behaviors; the bees are mixed-breed stock reared without chemical intervention to encourage hardy, disease-resistant colonies that do not require regular chemical Varroa treatments.
An Advanced Way to Start a Hive
Packages are considered a more advanced installation method—recommended for seasoned beekeepers—and are distinct from nucleus colonies, which BeeWeaver suggests for new or novice apiarists seeking an easier installation.
