No. At this time New York State does not require a boater safety certificate for operators of rental boats.

When can I pick up the boat?

Boats can be picked up starting at 8:00 AM.

What time must daily rentals be returned?

Daily rentals must be returned to the dock by 6:00 PM.

Can the boat be delivered or kept overnight at my lodging?

Yes. Riverbay can deliver boats and, for rentals longer than one day, you may keep the boat at your location and arrange pickup at the end of the rental.

How many people can ride on the boat?

Each boat has a Coast Guard data plate stating the maximum weight and number of people allowed—boats must not exceed those posted limits and Riverbay will inform you of them when renting.

How is fuel handled for the rental?

Boats are provided with a full tank at pickup; Riverbay checks fuel on return and charges for the fuel used at market value.

May I bring my dog?

Yes, but pets count toward the total weight allowance, must be leashed, life jackets for animals are recommended (not provided), and owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pet.
