What to Bring

Beginning July 1, 2025 a valid boating license is required to rent any watercraft in Minnesota. The renter must be at least 16 and present a valid U.S. driver’s license. The boat is provided fully fueled and with three adult life jackets onboard.

Departures take place from 4441 Lake Avenue South, White Bear Lake, MN 55110; arrive at the dock to board your boat at the scheduled time.

Do I need a boating license even if I am over 21?

Yes. Anyone renting a watercraft is required by Minnesota law to have a valid boating license.

Do I need a boating license if I am from out of state?

If you are visiting for 60 days or less, Minnesota follows your home state’s laws: if your home state requires a boating license, you must provide either your home state or Minnesota license.

How long can I rent the boat for?

Rentals are available from 2 hours up to 8 hours.
