THE ROUTE

Canyons: 65–120 miles offshore

Trips run well offshore into the Hudson Canyon and as far as the Poormans Canyon, covering a 65–120 mile range where large tuna and other pelagic game congregate.

THE TARGETS

Big Tuna and Pelagic Species

The overnight program focuses on large-game species: Bigeye, Yellowfin and Bluefin tuna are primary targets, with marlin, mahi, wahoo, shark and swordfish also on the menu.

THE BOAT

53' Jersey Nutz — small private charters

Charters run aboard the 53' Jersey Nutz for groups up to six people, positioned as New Jersey’s offshore canyon overnight experts.

What the day feels like

How the Night Unfolds

Expect a compact, purposeful rhythm: depart on day one (typical departures span from morning into late afternoon), transit offshore to canyon grounds, fish through the overnight hours and return roughly 26–28 hours after departure — an intense but efficient window to work large tuna and pelagic predators.

Suitability

Who it's for

Who this charter suits — and who should reconsider.

1
Committed AnglersIdeal for anglers focused on big tuna and offshore pelagics who want a private, small-boat experience; charters are sized for groups up to six people.
2
Small Groups & FriendsDesigned for groups filling a private boat (rates are for up to six people) rather than large parties or walk-on bookings.
3
Families with Older TeensSuitable for family groups that can handle an overnight offshore setting and follow vessel rules; not a day-trip beach outing.
4
Not for the Casual Day-TripperThis is an overnight offshore operation with long transit and active fishing; travelers expecting a short nearshore trip should look elsewhere.
