Do as the Italians do — teach your child to make fresh pasta at Islington HQ.
This is a compact, kitchen‑centered experience at The Jamie Oliver Cookery School’s Islington HQ: a guided 1.5‑hour masterclass that takes an adult‑child pair through making pasta dough, running it through an Imperia machine and shaping tagliatelle, farfalle and vermicelli, followed by a simple tomato sauce and salad enjoyed together at the chef’s table.

Outing Highlights
Make pasta from scratch — machine and all
You and your child work side‑by‑side to whisk up dough, roll it through an Imperia pasta machine and shape three classic forms: tagliatelle, farfalle and vermicelli — a tactile, teachable series of steps led by an expert teaching chef.
A proper chef’s‑table finish
After the hands‑on work you sit at the chef’s table to eat the fresh pasta with a homemade tomato, garlic and basil sauce and a bright rocket and radicchio salad — or you can pack a box to take your meal home.
Practical skills and a recipe pack
Classes include aprons, all ingredients and equipment, water during the session and a digital recipe pack so families can recreate the dishes at home; booking an adult place currently comes with a free child place on in‑person kids’ classes subject to availability.
What the day feels like
What the class feels like
The session moves briskly over its 1.5‑hour length: a short demonstration by the teaching chef, hands‑on time at your cooking station turning dough into three shapes with an Imperia machine, a quick sauce preparation, then a shared moment at the chef’s table to eat what you’ve made — all designed so an adult and a child cook together from start to finish.
