Anglers must wear lifejackets (obtainable from the Stòras office); the estate also offers fly rods, landing nets, lifejackets and outboard motors for hire or sale.

Are lifejackets required?

Can I hire a ghillie?
Ghillies can be arranged by the estate for brown trout and salmon/sea trout lochs; a non‑refundable administration charge of £15 applies, ghillies are paid directly, and availability is limited.
Do I need to submit a catch return?
Yes—anglers are asked to complete and send a catch return to [email protected] or to Stòras Uibhist, Daliburgh, South Uist, HS8 5SS; a catch return form is provided by the estate.
