Bring a comfortable life jacket (to be worn at all times at the fishing spot), 50 ft tie‑off rope, enough rope for stringers (5 fish per stringer; one extra for kings), warm clothing, rain gear, headlamp, sleeping bag, small tent or tarp (tent sites are limited), scissors for tail‑cutting, sunscreen, bug spray, dip nets (one or two), a fish bonker and a good knife, food and drink (50‑quart coolers or smaller only).
Only 50‑quart coolers or smaller are allowed on the boats; the operator supplies fish totes at pickup and can transport your catch to the cleaning tables — bring cash if you plan to pay the filleter or for overage charges.
You must carry a current Alaska resident sport fishing license and a Chitina personal use dip net permit; confirm your permit status before arriving.
