The opening movement of the evening is a facilitated Salsa or Bomba class—about an hour long—led in collaboration with local instructors, designed to introduce rhythm, steps and the communal energy that powers Puerto Rican dance.

After the dance class the group moves into the Miramar Arts District for a sit-down meal at a local restaurant and a taste of Puerto Rico’s rum traditions—Coquito and piña colada among the classics—and a complimentary mojito offered to guests.

The night crescendos at a Batey, a traditional Bomba gathering of drummers, singers and dancers under the open sky where guests can participate or observe, with an optional stop at La Placita for clubs, drinks and late-night atmosphere, time permitting.
