Over roughly two hours, the guided Night Hike highlights nocturnal wildlife—owls, bats, fireflies, raccoons, armadillos, deer, frogs and more—offered by the Armand Bayou Nature Center for participants ages 6 and up.

What the Night Feels Like
As darkness settles, guides lead a roughly two-hour walk through prairie grass, shaded forest trails and bayou edges, drawing attention to calls, flashes and silhouettes of nocturnal life. The rhythm is observational and deliberate—stop, listen and watch—as participants encounter the layered soundscape and occasional glowing insects that mark the night.
